May fit if

You want to turn an idea into a small app

Turning a small app idea into a first working project without setting up a local coding environment.

Access observed

Daily free Starter use

Replit documents a $0 Starter plan with daily Agent credits, a monthly cap, Lite build, and one published app that goes offline after 30 days.

What you will need

Account and a browser

Create a Replit account and begin on Starter. Check the plan and active Agent mode before adding billing, connecting another service, or moving important work into the workspace.

Limits and charges

The reset depends on the plan and mode

Starter credits reset daily up to a monthly cap. Replit separately documents Free Mode for Core and Pro users, with usage limits that reset every five hours; paid modes and cloud services follow their own credit and billing rules.

Your data and account

The workspace can hold more than the prompt

Replit says it collects code, project files, prompts, generated content, workspace and collaboration data, and information from connected accounts. Check project visibility, permissions, repository access, and connected services before adding sensitive material.

Before relying on it

Check the plan name before calling it free

Do not read the name Free Mode as a free account plan. Replit currently describes it as a Core and Pro feature, while Starter has a smaller daily allowance. Keep a copy of important code and check the active mode before approving changes or paid usage. Confirm the current Starter allowance, monthly cap, publishing expiry, active Agent mode, model, usage reset, and whether a task can move into credit-backed or paid work.

Check current information

Replit access source pages

Use Replit's Starter documentation for the $0 allowance, the Free Mode announcement for Core and Pro behavior, and the current pricing and privacy pages before relying on a plan or data boundary.
